so I broke no contact we talked even went out to dinner we text for several days then all the sudden text slowed down he said he was just busy we dated for almost 3 years and busy was never a problem then. so when the texting became so little I just told him I was done. I have to say I don’t have the urge to reach out I am just over it. it’s almost like I found my power my worth again and it feels good. I do still love him but I know I deserve better. I hope you all start feeling better soon

when you told him you were done, did it feel like relief in your body or more like sadness first then relief?
sadness at first but then I started to stop thinking about the relationship how it was in the beginning and really look at it in a whole we had problems at the end. I think I started to really look at the things he had done to hurt me and just decided I deserve better. hope you start to feel better
i broke no contact with my ex too and he came back all warm at first then suddenly “busy.” that word used to gut me. i remember the exact moment i was like… oh. i’m done. and it was weirdly peaceful. proud of you for feeling that shift

that's the spirit, staying positive. and even if you do have contact again which may happen because it's when we feel stronger they appear from nowhere to break us again but I think you'll be ok next time
