just days ago i was disappointed to see him change his bio to a different song other than our song because it was giving off “moving on and replacing you with someone else” vibes. then just today when i checked his profile out of impulse, not particularly curiosity or anything. he put our song back up in his bio and i was confused. did he want me to see that he hasn’t moved on and still thinks about me or is it all a trap?

when you saw he put it back, what was the first feeling you had? like did it make you hopeful or did it make you anxious?
i remind myself that people’s bios are the easiest place to send mixed signals. it helps me not read it as a promise, just noise. you don’t have to react to every breadcrumb.
i try not to react as much but there’s part of me still looking for signs that he cares
my ex used to play around with his spotify bio and story posts like he was coded messages to me. every time i’d think “he’s done,” he’d suddenly put our song again and it messed with my head so bad. it always felt like a tug. like he wanted me close but not actually with him.
he acted like he moved on then the second i started doing the same he tried to pull me back in the loop. it really messes up with my head
