do u really think distance made me forget u or that a heart just grows cold as days drift by tell me how can a heart ever forget the one it calls home n how can a soul that found its life through u ever find peace in this emptiness for me distance was never a way to move on it only stretched the longing i feel until it became part of my breathing every step u take away from me doesnt create a gap it only makes my heart take a thousand desperate steps toward u if u believe that distance erases our tracks u are so wrong b/c some paths arent marked on dusty roads they are carved deep within the soul where u remain an eternal n unshakable presence time n space r just shadows if one day u find the courage to ask did the distance change u i will look u in the eyes n tell u the coldest truth distance didnt change me at all it only forced my heart to realize that in a world full of people no one even comes close to u its a heavy realization but in the end its strange how a person can grow to miss their own pain b/c that pain is the only thing left that still tastes like u i’d rather ache for u than feel nothing at all b/c at least in this hurt we r still connected

i was in something long distance too and i kept telling myself the space would help me detach, but it just made me miss him in this quiet, constant way that never really stopped
