being back at uni gives you structure, so your mind doesn’t wander as much. when you’re home, there’s more space for him to show up in your head.
i get that. having stuff to do around campus really saved me too. the quiet moments at home were rough, but being busy made it lighter to carry.
when i was in college i’d get so into classes and friends that i didn’t think about my ex for hours. then i’d get home and boom, it hit me again. felt like whiplash.
