I had an emergency in my apartment and needed a different number for maintenance or my landlord. He has the same landlord and is always chatting with him. In my panic I called. I couldn't steady myself to text. While he gave me the info I needed, kept inviting me over to weather out the emergency, which I said no. Then he just wanted to talk about himself... when I have an emergency. Now I'm mad I broke my streak for that.

so during your emergency he was just talking about himself like nothing was happening? how did that convo even end?
I had sewage backing up in my basement, so sn emergency but not immediate danger. He wanted to catch up while he scrolled through his phone for the number I needed. Then he just kept babbling. Then he was like "oh, I guess I'm holding you up.."
i get why you’re mad. when i broke my streak once, i reminded myself it didn’t erase my progress. just pick it back up. you handled the actual emergency, that’s what matters.
slipped up and contacted my ex over something “urgent” too and he made it about him the whole time. it’s crazy how they grab any chance to center themselves even when we’re literally stressed.
