it’s been a little over a month since we’ve claimed no contact and i can’t go on another day without missing him with every inch of my soul. i yearn for him to message me. my friend texted him about 4 hours ago to see if he would respond - she asked “what happened between you guys i’m really curious” to see if it spark an interest in him and he’s seen it but hasn’t responded - and been online. do i just give up at this point ? because all i want is for him to be back in my life again, him not being in it hurts me more than anything.

Take it from me, leave him alone. You're better off without someone who knows you're hurting and still chooses to leave you in silence. I know it's hard but that's all the answer you need.
It's very difficult to say, but you have to leave him alone. He'll come back to you naturally if he wants to.
