Why even have him on block if you're going to keep checking anyway, no need to torture yourself.
I can see your point 100%. it's for the strong times.. the times he is not on my mind and I don't want him to be. The times I am having a laugh or a good moment and I know hearing from him will effect that.
you open that blocked list… is it more like a habit your fingers do automatically, or is it that tiny hope that maybe this time there will be a message?
it is a habit and a hope at the same time you are very right
i used to do this exact thing. i’d unblock just to check if he texted, then block again, like some weird little ritual my brain couldn’t drop. it took me a while to admit i was still hoping

when my ex told me it was over, he abandoned, betrayed, and blocked me on every platform. it was excruciating. but after some time I have learned that no matter what he is spinning his narrative into, no matter what he is saying to others, its hurtful to yourself to keep checking. it will take some time before those feelings fade even just a little. keep your head up, keep moving forward, and know youre not alone friend 🧡
