the drive to work felt like i was heading to my own execution 😭 handing their stuff back made it feel WAY more final than the breakup itself. i just kept reminding myself i only had to survive a few awkward minutes, not the rest of my life.
keep the interaction short and calm, even if your emotions are screaming underneath. i made the mistake of trying to squeeze closure out of that first post-breakup interaction and it wrecked me for days after.
do you think seeing them is going to make you want to reconnect, or are you more scared of them acting cold and unaffected?
why you guys broke up
they said they weren’t ready for a long term relationship. and that they lost themself. we had been together a year

If he says he's not ready and then acts differently, it's not worth it.
