Should i block him? the struggle of moving on

I have him blocked on everything so that I dont have to see what he is up to. but I cant help but think he probably sees that as an opportunity to post whatever he likes, because he knows I will never see it. he is probably posting stuff geared towards attracting other girls (I know he is already talking to multiple). also, it means he will never see my posts. does him not seeing my posts mean that he will miss me more? or will it be easier for him to get over me because out of sight out of mind? it sounds trivial, but I dont want to add his social media back and ruin my progress by checking it all the time... we ended on good terms and do plan to be in each other's lives somewhat in the future, because we share a dog.

i kept obsessing over what my ex might be posting and who he was trying to impress, meanwhile i was the one spiraling checking everything 😭 blocking him honestly gave my brain a little peace for once.

i’d keep him blocked for now. the second i unblocked my ex ā€œjust to seeā€ i lost weeks of progress because every post started feeling personal. if sharing the dog means you’ll reconnect later, that can still happen when this hurts less.

thank you, such a good point ā¤ļø I think I'm trying to rush to the part where we are both ok and moved on, but you really do just have to go through it to get to the other side

you actually miss HIM or do you miss feeling connected to his life every day? because those are two really different feelings and i didn’t realize that for a while

so true. we were best friends and lived together for 5 years. deep down I know he doesn't treat me right or respect me, but I miss the life we had together.
