Why does he keep reaching out after the breakup?

my ex used to send random little updates too, nothing meaningful enough to fix things but just enough to keep me emotionally hooked. it’s like they miss access to you, not the responsibility of the relationship.
i had to stop treating every text like hidden love. sometimes they reach out because you’re familiar and comforting, but that doesn’t always mean they actually want to rebuild anything. that realization hurt BAD for me.
do you feel like his messages actually make you feel cared for, or do they mostly leave you confused and anxious after?😢
They may not be able to detach from you because they still have an emotional attachment or they miss the way you made them feel. That’s probably why they keep trying to fix things.
From here, two things can happen. If they continue putting in effort and you’re also comfortable and interested, the relationship may slowly heal and work out again. But if you’ve already decided to move on and you’re no longer interested, they may keep trying for a while until they eventually accept the situation, regain their self-worth, and move on too.
This how i see. Its upto you whether you want to give a chance or move ahead.
