Today, i've been the most disappointed.
I saw that my ex gf followed the guy that was flirting with her long time ago that she "hated" the whole time she was with me. I'm questioning our whole relationship that lasted 17 months that i invested in too much. The worst thing is we said that we wouldn't go out and meet new people and give our attention to people that would flirt with us. The part of me feels relieved because i don't feel that i did anything wrong and she showed me her real face by lying to me through the whole relationship and after also. I really hoped her the best in her future but i would like for her to regret for making a fool out of me.

man, that promise about not entertaining people who flirted with you stands out to me. did she break that boundary while you were together, or is the pain more about finding out now that maybe she never meant what she said?
well that boundary was set after the breakup, in relationship it was already known that we shouldn't do that but i can't guarantee that she didn't to be honest. The pain is that it seemed so real and now im questioning everything.
my ex used to tell me there was "nothing there" with one specific person, then the second we broke up he was suddenly connected everywhere. it made me question months of memories and that part really HURT.
it also made me question everything, but atleast i got a closure that i wanted to get because she left me just like that one day without much explanation and mixed feelings.
I don't think she was trying to make a fool out of you. She maybe didn't have anyone to turn to or talk to about it. The fact of the matter is, leaving space between you and her makes her and you available to others. If you wanted to stay together you should have made the move. You cannot blame her. She is probably grieving and feeling like if you really loved her you would've never left to begin with. If that bothers you, talk to her about it. Tell her how you feel. Acting like you don't care and just ending things doesn't get you both anywhere
She left me, read what i said. I tried to keep her and begged her but she decided that she "lost feelings" despite me being there for her 24/7 and being the best i could be.

I invested 3 years into my now ex relationship. My girl had a guy shed followed on IG about 2 months ago I suspected something and she reassured me everything was fine. well she was hanging out with her friends best friends a lot..and theres guys.. So finally I said something and things went south. week later she says she wants to take a break. another week later she blocks me on everything and I find out she's dating and sleeping with a guy she's known for 4 days.. it was the worst pain I've ever felt.
but this all taught me a lot. and im now going to focus on growing myself as a person.
hoping for her to regret is something that may never happen. if younger theres a possibility the guilt comes back and starts getting to her. but it may not.
The best and to be honest the only thing that i can do right now is focus on myself.
It hurts because you are constantly thinking were you with the same person that she is after the break up this whole time. Just having a bit of crisis.
We are younger, i'm 20 and she is 18 but i could say that i'm mature and i try to be as good person as i can. She had many childhood problems and never felt loved till she met me. It feels impossible for someone to just leave the person that was the first and only who showed you respect, that you are worth something, that you deserve to be loved and many other stuff. I got her ego up and then she felt pretty i guess or maybe that she could do bettee and left me.
@BraveSpirit745 no no see im older then you and had a girl who was 20. my sister explained it too me a little. its not that you got her ego up and she felt pretty. My sister said girls that age are like that..not all of them but often they go around crushing guys dreams mostly because they dont know what they want.
@ItsNotEasy i understand what are you saying, but i just can't get it why. She always felt unattractive and worthless.
It makes me angry that i literally always tried to be perfect for her, to make her feel every good emotion that there is and that's how she returns it to me. I would really like for her to regret.
@BraveSpirit745 bro my ex kept saying she was ugly and fat. a week after our breakup she told me she was sleeping with another guy.
@BraveSpirit745 so obviously she wasn't that self conscious about her appearance.
@ItsNotEasy did she just say that or also act like that, like she believed in it?
Because my did and after helping her change her mind about her she left me. It was a big change in her behaviour after the breakup and i hope because of everything that she regrets.
