Why i finally chose freedom after my breakup

do you feel free already and you're protecting that freedom, or are you still fighting the pull to reach back out?

this sounds like a place i didn't reach for a long time. when i finally stopped romanticizing the past and started wanting freedom more than reconciliation, things slowly got lighter.

after one breakup, all i wanted was exactly that, freedom. no wondering if they'd come back, no checking my phone, no carrying guilt for choosing myself. just peace.
