How do you know when it's time to move on?

Author

How long does it usually take to open your heart to someone new after a breakup? People often say you should not rush into finding someone else, but what if you have been hurt over and over again? Isnt that exactly why you would want to find someone who will truly love and choose you? Im not talking about using someone as a rebound.. But at what point does seeking love become "moving on," and at what point is it simply trying to fill a void?

if someone amazing showed up tomorrow, would you be excited to get to know them, or would part of you still be hoping they could fix the hurt someone else caused?

or me, moving on wasn't about how much time had passed, it was when i stopped looking for someone to heal the wound my ex left and started being curious about a new person for who they were.

asking myself this exact question. after getting hurt a few times, i wasn't looking for a rebound, i was just tired of being the one who stayed lonely while everyone else seemed to find their person.

there’s no particular time. once your heart is no longer with them, that’s it.
