i had a dad who showed up for me in every way, so when i started dating i couldn’t unsee the difference between real care and bare minimum energy. it made me tolerate way less, but also feel a lot more disappointment.
do you feel like it’s the bare minimum itself that turns you off, or the feeling of not being chosen the way you were used to growing up?
