Is it crazy to want to help my ex heal?

Author

Hey guys, I was thinking about who I could share this thought with, and I ultimately decided to share it with you. Maybe you’ll think I’m crazy after reading this, but I think we’re all a little crazy. I’m somewhat spiritually inclined, which is why I believe in fate, the universe, and that everything happens for a reason. Maybe that sounds stupid to some people, but it makes me feel comfortable. A while ago, I found a kind of "witch" on TikTok and watched her videos where she performs rituals (nothing with black magic, of course), and I found it really interesting and fascinating. For some irrelevant reasons, I got her phone number and regularly watched her WhatsApp stories, where she performed rituals again.
Quick side note:
My ex is avoidant, and because of that, he is very closed off, and I could never really break through to him. He never spoke to me about his problems or even tried to find a solution with me for the problems I brought up. That is ultimately the reason why I broke up with him; over time, we drifted so far apart, which destroyed me. I tried to talk to him and find out what was wrong with him more than anyone could ever imagine, but to no avail. And it hurts me to know that he is probably fighting just as big of battles as I am, which I know nothing about. I would love so much to help him out of it, but unfortunately, he won't accept any help.
This brings me back to why I mentioned this "witch" at the beginning. I explained my situation to her and told her that I would love to give him the help through rituals that I can't give him with words. And in case some of you are already alarmed, she also regularly posted reviews from her clients, which is why I'm even considering having this done. I would love to get your opinion on this, please be honest.

i honestly wouldn't spend money on rituals. if it gives YOU comfort, that's one thing, but i don't think anyone can make another person open up before they're ready.

i would've tried almost anything if i thought it could reach him. 💔 eventually i realized i was chasing a version of him that wanted help, but he never actually asked for it.

thats because hes afraid to get abandoned again like he used to be eventually..sometimes he talked to me abt the things thats cause him pain but the next day hes like nothing ever happend. But he had the right mindset regarding the conversations we’ve had a few times. I could tell he wants to heal but simply doesn't know how; he also finds it hard to accept help because he refuses to show vulnerability to anyone—having been taught early on that "being needy" was something terrible. I learned that he started earning his own money while still in regular school—something a typical person certainly wouldn't do. I know what his mother is like, so I can say that she is unfortunately the root cause of this. His father also bears a large share of the responsibility for how he turned out. It’s a shame, but he usually defends both his parents, even though at times he does acknowledge what they did to him. It’s a constant back-and-forth between insight and denial.

can i ask something? when you picture doing this ritual, are you hoping it'll help HIM heal, or are you hoping it'll somehow bring the two of you back together?

My primary aim is simply to help him, because I see how heavily his current situation weighs on him—how it is almost completely consuming him. He is drowning in his own thoughts and feelings because he never learned how to truly experience them; instead, he just suppresses them, which is more than unhealthy in the long run. Of course, I do harbor a wish that we might find our way back to each other, but that isn't the goal here. Whatever lies ahead for him will be the right path—at least, that is what I hope for him. And deep down, I know that our paths will cross again and that we aren't finished with each other yet.
