I cried out of the sudden today. It's bizarre really. I was having a good day feeling blessed and thankful, just existing peacefully. I had bought a cake to celebrate my mom's belated birthday. which she was so grateful and happy. After setting time for the celebration. I went back to my room and scrolled on TikTok for a good minute then I saw a video quoting "rich in life because I found 'tell me about it' to my 'I finished my book'" where the girl is sitting in a position we used to sit.. tucked into each other on a bench, my back against his chest, wrapped in him.
And suddenly I couldn't contain myself. Tears started to fall from my eyes heavily.
I remember how he used to love listening to me talk about the books I finished reading looking at me tenderly. Even though I get to ramble about only two books for him, he was the one who suggested it at first and I remember being both surprised and excited about the way he made space for the part of me that I didn't expect someone to care about.
I miss him so much. I miss the deep care and love we had for each other.
And I wonder if he also misses me on a random Saturday in a little piece of memory flashing through a video, or in any day to day moment of his life, the way I did today. The way I probably will in the future.

crying over the smallest things after my breakup, a song, a place, a tiny habit only we shared. those random memories hurt because they bring back the feeling of being known by someone
i’ve been in that spot where i wanted to save someone who was falling apart, but i was getting hurt while trying to carry them. i had to learn that loving someone doesn’t mean i can do the healing for them.
i keep wondering about that too, if my ex ever had those random moments where something reminded him of me. do you think a part of you is missing him,
yeah those thoughts are truly so heart aching to think right. yes it's been more than 5 months atp but sometimes a part of me misses him and sometimes a whole part of myself misses him, you know.
