My breakup is still pretty fresh, and I’m trying to work on myself (while still wanting him back), but I can’t help but ask if no contact actually works to bring them back. He’s the one who broke up with me and not even a week later, he started talking to another girl. I keep hearing things about how he’s probably just using her as a distraction and what not since we were together for 2 years. However, I also see things all over that, “absence makes the heart grow fonder”, is this true? If I stick to going strict no contact for 30 days, will he start to feel an urge to text me?

no contact tells you everything you need. if he comes back then cool. if he doesn't then the no contact should be used to heal n focous on you. im 4.5 months post breakup but only 41 days no contact. these past 41 days have been the most peace I've had in 4.5 months. I still get sad. I still miss him. but I also jow remember all the horrible and that now outlays the missing and it passes very quickly and I dont struggle to reach out as much. he also cant cobtact me any way other than an email bc I blocked h8m everywhere and switched jobs so my number had to change as well. be selfish. do whats right for you. me setting a routine really helped me.
honestly the waiting for a text can keep you stuck
he started talking to someone else so fast, did it feel more like he was moving on, or like he was trying to avoid feeling the breakup?
Honestly, probably as a distraction. He would post her on his story and then delete it, repost stuff about her on tiktok and then unrepost it. It’s all just so confusing
during no contact hoping every quiet day would make my ex miss me. the hardest part was realizing i was trying to control a choice only he could make
if it was to stand a chance of working at all you have to go no contact so he actually feels the loss of you. but you will find you are more successful at it when you stop thinking of it as a way to bring him back, and instead think of it as an important tool to heal your heart. this includes not letting other people give you updates about him and what he’s up to.
I haven’t started the 0 contact rule and I don’t know when to start it because I’m still in that relationship and it’s also hard cause I’ve been with him for almost 3 years
stay strong
