We don’t talk anymore and i don’t miss you at all. But some times when i think of you my day will stall. When i wash my clothes every week i fold your hoodie and put it away. It remains in my outfit rotation even though you didn’t stay. And for some reason i can’t sleep without my stuffed animal from you. But at the same time i hate remembering when it was just us two. And hung in my car is the matching bracelets that we wore. It has stayed there since the day you didn’t love me anymore. It makes me boil when i remember you. But like a vine your woven into the things i do. We aren’t together and it’s been weeks since we’ve talked. But the impact you had on me never seems to wear off. I taught my friends our phrases but they don’t say them like you do. It’s just another piece of you I’ll have to hold onto. When you spilled yourself on me it left a stain too big. Your always imprinted in me no matter how far i dig. I can’t stand you now but there was once a time. When it was your love instead that made me rhyme. I hate you so much but you never leave my head. You’re still in my bloodstream after how much I’ve bled.
(i don’t really hate him if you can’t tell i just try to convince myself i do. two year relationship and poetry for some reason helps put feelings into words)

i’ve written things i could never say out loud after a breakup. honestly, keep writing if it helps, even the angry parts, even the parts where you admit you still miss him.
i really felt the “i don’t really hate him” part. do you think writing about him is helping you let go, or does it make you miss him more afterward?
it helps me let go because when i write about the things that upset me and what he did that hurt me it reminds me why im better off now. i honestly makes me mad when i read it and see how i hurt over someone like that and then i don’t miss him anymore.
i used to keep little things from my ex around too, then get mad at myself for still caring. sometimes the stuff we hate looking at is the stuff that proves how much we loved them.
it really is. i can look at his things now without spiraling and i like to see them now as reminders of how loving i am and who i am as a person aside from him.
I can’t believe it. You literally described exactly how I’ve been feeling. I read this while lying in bed with a stuffed animal he bought me, and it hit me so hard. When your ex’s love language is giving gifts, you end up with so many memories attached to them. I think not knowing what to do with all those things is honestly the hardest part.
I loved it! It's my third day almost four I'm a little scare
