I’m devastated. I knew she wasn’t happy but instead of talking to me about it she left to stay at her kids’ house for two months. I dropped her off at the airport never realizing she had already taken everything that reminded her of us.
Two weeks later she called and told me it was over. My heart feels completely ripped apart. I know she deserves better than what I was giving her but I don’t know how I’m supposed to recover from this.
She left most of her things at her house and she even left her little dog behind. She knows I barely have enough money to take care of myself let alone an animal. And now she’s gone to spend time with her rekindled relationship with her ex.
She won’t talk to me about any of it. I don’t know how to cope. I want to give her dog back but I’m terrified of being completely alone.

i terrified of the empty space after my breakup too.
my ex leaving without giving me a real conversation wrecked me, and finding out he had already started building a life without me made the silence even harder. that kind of goodbye leaves you with SO many unanswered questions.
if you could put the fear of being alone aside for a second, do you think you’d still want to keep her dog, or are you holding onto that because it’s the last piece of her you have?
