For a long time I told myself it's my fault and I allowed it.
He never hit me, so I thought it wasn't abuse. But emotional abuse is real. Being ghosted, being made to beg for bare minimum, being called a "bird" for coming back when HE is the one who always came back when he was h*rny and that breaks you slowly.
I stayed because I hoped. Because I loved him. Because every time he came back, my brain thought "maybe now he will love me right."
Staying doesn't make you weak. It makes you human. Leaving after all that? That makes you strong.
I blocked him. Not because I hate him, but because I love me more now.
I'm at peace today because I accepted he will never change. Maybe I was just not the one he loves, and that's okay. It gets easier from there.

i used to think i needed him to admit what he did before i could move on. blocking him and stopping myself from waiting for that apology was what finally gave me some peace. ❤️🩹
i really felt the part about him coming back when he wanted something and leaving you begging for the bare minimum. are you finding that the hardest part now is missing him, or accepting that the person you kept hoping he'd become probably isn't coming back?
I'm working on accepting actually and learnt not to fall in love with potential but see people for who they are and not what I hope they would become.
i stayed way too long because every time my ex came back, i convinced myself this time would be different, and leaving still felt impossible even when i knew i was hurting.
you should be proud that you stayed, you loved, you tried and that you're strong enough now to move in another direction. Even if you doubt, or feel weak and "come back" for a moment, you will still be strong by just taking your steps in a new direction.
Thank you .
