He came back and I ended up opening the door again for things between us.
However, this time I will not take the role of moving the relationship forward. I will wait for his concrete actions (not words - there have been already too many words without any action).
If he does not act, I won't either, so in that case I might well forget about him.

i had to stop filling in the gaps for my ex, because every time i did, they had less reason to step up. if he wants this, he has to SHOW it.
