when those morning panics hit me, i had to immediately put my phone in another room and splash freezing water on my face just to break out of that ghost storyline.
waking up from a dream like that leaves your heart pounding in the worst way. i used to get those fake text nightmares for weeks after my breakup, and the feeling of relief turning into pure anger when you wake up is SO exhausting
