I’m struggling to accept the reality of a breakup right now.
We never met in person, but we talked almost constantly for several months, and I developed feelings that became much stronger than I expected.
We had a disagreement and he blocked me. Part of me still wants to reach out, but another part of me knows that going back might only hurt me again. I’m scared that even if things went back to the way they were, I would end up feeling worse than I do now.
I’m exhausted from thinking about him all the time. I don’t understand why it hurts this much when we never even met.
How do you accept that someone can mean so much to you and still not be meant to stay in your life? How did you stop holding on and start letting go?

i keep wondering about this too, but do you think you’re missing him as he actually was, or the version of the relationship you hoped you’d get to have someday?
what helped me was accepting that i didn’t need to prove the connection was “real enough” before i was allowed to grieve it. i stopped checking for a way back in and let the silence stay silent, even when every part of me wanted to reach out.
i’ve been there with someone i never met in person, and honestly the grief still felt REAL. i think i was mourning the connection, the routine, and the future i had quietly imagined with them, and losing all of that at once hurt like hell.
Maybe. He changed or basically he realised something like what you said that you never met in person
