Broke up with me a month ago but we were still talking, but not as much as before. There were times she say she misses me and stuff but it was a hot and cold attitude she’s been giving me. Today she’s warm, tomorrow she’s distant. Recently this month when I tried for us to fix things she asked to be alone for now and I gave her space and she suddenly texted something random after two days and later on after some more days she texted and asked when my birthday is and I replied with only that date and she hasn’t texted again since
I know she’s active on social media but recently she’s been posting a lot and posting different people but I tried my best not to message her about any of that or keep watching her stories
I’ve been silent since she asked to be alone but somehow it’s her leaving a msg after some days
Im just so confused

i’d be confused too, especially after she asked your birthday and then disappeared again. do you feel like she’s reaching out because she genuinely wants to reconnect, or because she misses having you there?
That’s what I don’t get coz I’ve made it clear countless times on wanting us to sort things out but she’s not shown interest up untill I tried bringing it up again for when she feels ready to talk about and she said ok, and later after days I brought it up again as a reminder and she was like she wants to be alone for now and since then Ive tried to respect the space she wants but her recent “one drop” texts is just getting me
confused so I dunno if she wants to reconnect or she’s only missing me there
i think you’re doing the right thing by staying quiet and not watching every story.
I still struggle with the urge not to check but I wonder why can’t she come clean rather than going round in circles
i’ve been in that hot and cold cycle too, where one sweet message would have me thinking there was still a chance, then the silence would knock me right back down. the random texts are SO confusing when you’re trying to respect the space they asked for.
