i was reopening the same wound and hoping the screen would give me a different answer. leaving the chat alone was hard as hell at first, but it slowly got quieter.
i get why you keep checking, but do you think you’re actually waiting for their reply, or for the feeling you’d get if you finally saw their name pop up?
i’ve done this so many times, checking a dead chat days later even though i already knew there probably wouldn’t be anything there. that tiny “just in case” feeling is brutal

the anxiety just keeps increasing
somhow you might feel a little relieved after sending a text but the anxiety spikes each time you check and there’s no reply yet
