My ex and I met in a cooking class, and I thought that by losing him, I was using a unique meet cute...a unique love story...
Tonight, I remembered that I enjoy cooking. And I made a sushi-inspired meal that my Mom said was really good!!!
I had an important realization: I'm proud of myself. I can cook for myself while he actually just sits on his ass and orders Doordash all the time. And I'm NOT exaggerating. He Doordashes every meal his Mom doesn't make for him!

i had a similar thing where certain hobbies felt permanently tied to my ex, and the first time i enjoyed one without thinking about them, it felt like getting a little piece of myself back.
girl you are motivating me to get back to cooking. I stopped cooking because of my depression. it's been more than 6 months now. my kitchen is a depression hell. also I got recently broke up ? not sure. my avoidant boyfriend just doesn't talk to me after a fight. so I don't know if we are in a relationship or not at all. it's just plain cold silence
thats strong of u
wow that looks yumm
reclaiming the places, songs, and little routines i thought belonged to my old relationship. honestly, being able to enjoy cooking again and feel proud of what you made for yourself is such a good feeling.
do you think cooking feels different now because you genuinely love it again, or because you’re realizing how much of yourself got wrapped up in that relationship?
