I’ve liked a girl from my secondary school since Year 9. After years of timing issues and mixed signals—including her transferring to my college this term calling me cute daily and asking for bicep pics—I thought I finally had a chance.
Instead she fell for one of my close friends whom I introduced to our Roblox group chat and he likes her back. I told my friend to go for it to be mature but I am completely crushed. I tried hiding my pain at college by pretending to be sick but everyone found out I'm heartbroken. I can’t stop crying and feel completely lost. Any advice or replies would mean a lot.

i watched the girl i was secretly crazy about fall for one of my closest friends in our own group chat back in school, and standing there pretending to be mature while your chest is caving in is absolute torture. you showed so much class by stepping back, but please give yourself permission to feel totally broken right now because that situation is so cruel.
those brutal school days was taking a complete break from the group chat and hanging out with friends who had zero connection to either of them. you don't have to sit there watching it happen in real time just to prove you are okay.

Please allow yourself to let her go. l know it won’t be easy since you genuinely like her but please try and it’s okay to be heartbroken and to cry about it but just don’t allow it to get to you anymore. Cut contact and the day you finally heal you will genuinely see that she didn’t deserve you.
