Is it too soon to like someone after a breakup?

Author

I feel idk wrong.

I met this guy and I think I might like him but me and my ex broke up like a month and a bit ago. I don’t have a chance and don’t have the guys contact info anyways but idk it feels like cheating, or it’s to soon to like someone else.

My ex broke up with me but it idk feels odd and I don’t really like it.

any tips?

I'm in exactly the same situation as you. My ex and I also broke up about a month ago, and I'm currently getting to know someone new. I don't know if you can relate to this, but it just feels so weird getting to know someone new because you don't really have that foundation of trust yet. With your ex, you already had that deep trust and intimacy, and having to build all of that from scratch again feels really difficult and just so strange.

And I can understand why it feels like cheating. I constantly feel like I'm cheating too, but I try to keep reminding myself that my ex and I are broken up and that I'm no longer obligated to him. I don't have to justify getting to know someone new.

I feel that weirdness of getting to know someone new too. Unfortunately, I don't really know how to make that feeling go away either. Maybe it just takes time. ❤️
