I recently had an unexpected first date night before last.
It was riddled with lots of emotions, intensity, and it made me confused.
I feel that I am over my ex as a person. But experiencing hand holding and emotional closeness again, so soon, is making me confused.
has anyone else experienced this?

i was over my ex until someone new held my hand and suddenly i was feeling EVERYTHING again. i think sometimes the closeness catches me off guard, even when the feelings for my ex are gone.
i felt so confused after my first date post-breakup too, like i had to figure out what every feeling meant right away. i had to remind myself that i could enjoy a moment without needing to know where it was going.
was it the person themselves that made you feel something, or was it more the feeling of being close to someone again after so long?
ooh that is a good question. Maybe the closeness again. But also wanting to be more intentional this time around
Remembering is not the same as Wanting☺️ recalling past experiences doesn't mean you still want to be with your ex☺️ if I see an Orange, and my ex used to love oranges, it will remind me of him but it doesn't mean I want to get back with him

i am just talking to new guys and i feel confused. so definitely yes. i don't know what i actually want or need and i compare every new person to my ex so it's like i am not over him
I think it's normal, things will always remind you of past experiences but it doesn't mean you still want to be with your ex☺️ Remembering is not the same as Wanting
also it says 24 days NC on my post for some reason but its been longer, over twice as long
