Dated a guy I was super in love with at first and crazy attracted to. He never did me dirty or anything but over a few long months I just stopped loving him. Not just the honeymoon phase fading either. I still treated him the same and put in effort but I just couldn’t see a future with him—marriage, kids, none of that. Has this happened to anyone else? Why does this even happen?

It's like your soul knew before your brain did.

Trust your gut.
Even if it's confusing.

First comes attraction n infatuation before real love—that’s the whole honeymoon phase all passion n vibes fueled by chemistry n hormones. You don’t really know them yet just the best version they’re putting forward no deep flaws or struggles in sight.
At first it’s all about surface-level attraction, no real heavy stuff to deal with. You’re kinda in love with the idea of them, but that’s a fragile kinda love.
If over time you start noticing differences in values habits, or priorities that don’t match yours that initial spark won’t really grow into deep attachment or love.
And that’s not necessarily a bad thing, it’s just how it goes sometimes.
