i was in a relationship for a year and we broke up about a month ago. recently i found out he’s already dating his best friend and it hurt more than i expected. part of me feels angry and betrayed, but another part keeps wondering if i even have the right to feel that way because i know i wasn’t the best girlfriend either.

i get why your brain is trying to turn this into “maybe i deserved it” but honestly, relationships ending doesn’t erase your right to feel hurt.
I know how you feel. Im dealing with something very similar rn and it really messes with you mentaly, to the point that you dont even know if you should be mad, hurt, fine, etc. I made a post about my experience if you want to read it and write something similar. it really helped to "vent to her" in a healthy way.

blaming myself so hard that i almost ignored how much the situation still hurt me. even if you weren’t perfect, it still sucks seeing someone move on that fast with a person who was already close to them
