i can tell books worth of stories but the long and short of it is my man has been continuously choosing another women to entertain and support, and after me calling him out on it multiple times he still feels he is not in the wrong and yesterday he told me he doesn't want to marry my anymore but he already asked my father for my hand.

9 years is such a long time to keep fighting for someone who keeps making you feel second place. i stayed with someone hoping one day he’d finally choose me properly, and i kept confusing history with loyalty
walk away. this is whay narcissistic people do. o did it on n off for 10 years. in the end they did what they always do. step out of relationship n syart building with another to make sure his ego does not have a break in attention. your 9 years and my 10 years is long enough. mine recycles ex:s. there is a right way and a wrong way to end things in a relationship when you say you love them.
I understand how you feel , If you said you talked with him on this subject, and it's been 9 years , on and off ,imo you should prioritize yourself and your own peace of mind if you think he doesn't respect your feelings. You deserve someone who chooses you everyday:) .Really sorry you're going through this
