Laying in bed at 1:14am, falling asleep, his name popped up across my screen.
Im currently not talking to my mother, as shes been abusive to me for years now, but he messaged me to tell me she called him and hoped everything was okay.
After almost two months of raido silence, he messages me for that. He could've just not even bothered to message me, kept that to himself, but he decided to hit me up ao late. I find it really odd and am seeing it as an excuse just to see if I'd respond.
I always thought that, when he did message me, I would be so excited, elated, but I just rolled over and went to sleep. Responded to him this morning, telling him thanks for letting me know but thats about it. Right back into NC!

i actually smiled reading the part where you just rolled over and went back to sleep 😅 i remember waiting months for my ex to reach out, then when it finally happened i realized it didn't hit the way i thought it would.
i think you handled that really well. i would've spent hours wondering what it meant, but a simple "thanks for letting me know" and back to no contact is EXACTLY the kind of thing that helped me get my peace back.

It was that he reached put. It was so random, and so late too, and definitely something he could've just kept to himself. Cant really give the motive of why he even reached out but trying not to read too much into it.
That you went back to sleep is amazing! You are strong and he is not controlling your emotions anymore.
Yup! I did respond earlier today, told him I appreciate the heads up. Hasn't responded, but i already knew he'd do that lol. Not bothered at all.
