In a relationship for one and a half year before breaking up. How long should we take to heal first before getting back together. Currently its been six months and he wanted to get back together again but I am unsure

the countdown in my head and asking whether the reasons we broke up had actually changed. six months can be a long time, or no time at all depending on what happened.
when you imagine getting back together, do you feel excited and hopeful, or do you mostly feel anxious and unsure?
my ex wanted to get back together around the six month mark too, and i realized my hesitation was the answer. i wasn't saying no, but i wasn't saying yes either, and that mattered.
I hope if my ex ever does this im capable of being that strong minded.
