i often hoped my ex's would return, but experience has been telling me it's better that they don't. maybe there are some exceptions, but in most cases it seems that when they return, things become even worse.

did any of your exes actually come back, or are you talking about the hope you carried while waiting for them
some came back, but not to actually fix things. the connection and the problems just kept going, making moving on more difficult
i've had an ex come back more than once, and every time i thought this would be different. all it did was reopen wounds that had finally started to close.

I am starting to learn you feel better the less you talk to him. i stopped reaching out about five days ago. yes i have times where it’s hard but today ive started to look at if i got a response with do i actually care and im starting to not care. focus on yourself I know it’s probably the last thing you want to do. I chased for five weeks straight. i stopped five days ago and I’m doing other things talking to other people understanding myself better and if he ever came back I’m not sure anymore if I’d even bother now.
yes, talking to him re-opens the issue. it was nice to have some closure finally, but healing comes from moving on. good to know you started focusing on yourself! it's hard, but it's definitely the best way to start feeling well again

They always return or making their little presence known everywhere when things doesn't work out for them. That will be the time you look back and realized 'What the hell was I thinking?' You'll be like did I date that.....😀 or that's what happened to me ...
if they return while you’re still hurt you’ll take them back at any cost.
