How do you keep going after being used?

how do you continue to live normally after someone has used you, lied to you, discarded you and then continued to live their life being happy and enjoying all the new attention from new guys and overall enjoying life while you're left with all of the problems and everything?
do they regret or does it come back to them and how to ease my pain?

i was never going to get peace from whether she regretted it or not. i had to stop watching their life because every update kept reopening the wound.

you're right but still it's hard this way or another because you can't understand how could someone be so cruel overnight even if you always tried your best for them.

are you still seeing what they're doing through social media or mutual friends, or is it mostly your mind replaying everything that happened?

BraveSpirit745

i don't have any way to check stories or anything like that but i see that her followers count every day gets bigger and by the last posts and her behaviours she was happy.

this hit me hard. i went through something so similar, my ex lied to me, moved on fast, and it felt like they walked away with a clean slate while i was left carrying ALL of it. 💔 i hated how unfair it felt.

BraveSpirit745

it's so hard and i don't know how to move on and be at peace with the things that they do because it looks like karma doesn't exist.

nobody expects you to live normally. You just have to take one hour at a time and make progress. 🫶.

how to be at rest with the fact that she did all of this to me. After the breakup i became so insecure and depressed, i'm trying to be better but it's hard, meanwhile she's happy and without a worry.

@BraveSpirit745 Yeah, this bothers me too.Our relationship was full of conflict for 2.5 years after the first few months, but it was also the strongest bond either of us had experienced. I think she would agree, but she has done the same as you described now even though we were going to get married in less than two months. My ex grieved the relationship within it and only left after she was fully detached. She had deliberately gone through this process with her exes. I wonder if your ex did the same.

BraveSpirit745

@SweetGlee920 her ex before me was "abusive" by her stories and she had many traumas and overall bad life, so i stepped up and tried to make up to her for everything bad that has ever happened to her and after fixing so much stuff and making her feel better about herself she left me, told me that she was thinking about it for a few weeks and that she feels "happier" on her "own" that she wouldn't enter hoe phase and then just started being around 20+ dudes while i'm here carrying all the pain and asking to myself everyday will she regret it ans does karma exist?

@BraveSpirit745 Yeah, this sounds similar to my situation. She would initiate a lot of conflict and claim it was because of how other men, including her father, had treated her in the past. Her grievances against men stemmed from her experiences with infidelity and porn consumption, neither of which I was doing. Then, she found something wrong with me. She claimed I was being dismissive and defensive, and the accusations escalated from there until I just got lumped in with the others. Yes, I could have been more sensitive, more emotionally intelligent in my communication with her. However, I suspect I dodged a bullett by not entering a marriage with her. There was never any reflection on what she did wrong, aside from selecting the partners and even friends she had selected. Everything was always someone else’s fault, and there was never any room to interpret an issue as a simple misunderstanding.

@SweetGlee920 you really dodged a bullet, just like i did but i really tried my best in every single aspect.
I always communicated, helped her financially, helped her with her education with family problems with her insecurities and always asked if she felt safe and okay to do any kind of stuff.
Her well being was my number 1 priority and while she had bad experiences, hated men also and my ex before her, she just did everything she hated the most while being with me.
Started hanging out with my ex i guess so that both of them can cope or tell themselves that they did nothing wrong and entered hoe phase with all of the men that she hated.
I questioned everything and i still do sometimes, even though it's better for me and my future that it's not with her, i still ask myself do they regret or feel any remorse or hurt after leaving someone that always tried their best for them.

@BraveSpirit745 It sounds like you went above and beyond, man. I do have regrets and remorse. I could have done better, but mine was really toxic. She constantly found herself in conflicts with everyone in her life, so I’m not sure if it ever would have been sustainable.

BraveSpirit745

@SweetGlee920 Not really, if that was the tempo of her life. It's really better without them but we are left with all of the wounds.
