I don’t know how to feel after the breakup

Today is a mix of emotions. I’m still rationalizing our last conversation and finding closure within it but also I’m disappointed with the fact she’s not the person I thought she was. I’m not obsessed with her anymore and can truly function again but there are times when I eat or sleep and the thought of her makes me lose my appetite. I can look at her photos now with what I think is acceptance and a hint of grief. I think knowing that she lied to me and treated me with so much disrespect is what I’m stuck on. Also my ego is in the way because I should be able to happy for her and move on myself but I did tie my self worth into her words about me. I also can talk to women now but I still feel unhealed so I will wait a while longer until I’m ready. Ultimately I say this to say, that it’s okay to not be okay about someone you truly loved and respected. I will never regret loving hard but I have to find the right person to do so. I am young so I guess a lot of women around my age don’t find a sense of maturity attractive. As of right now, I’m working on breaking the soul tie I created with her and disconnecting from her completely. She’s already out of my life completely just not my mind.

i could apologize, but i couldn't force someone to feel the same again, and that was the hardest part.

had the two of you been arguing more before that conversation, or did this really come completely out of nowhere for you?

i've said things in anger that i wished i could take back too, so this really hit me. the guilt ate me alive because i kept thinking one moment ruined everything, but i eventually realized a relationship that strong usually isn't undone by one sentence alone.

as I've said a few times and youve read i have experience with being treated not well at all. I've lost all feelings for her in a romantic manner and honestly am kind of disgusted as to how she could easily use a man and then throw him away when she gets tired of him.

You dont need to be happy for someone who disrespected you, or lied to you.

honestly I started talking to an old friend who had a crush on me and we hit it off..we've been talking and its making me feel better about my self worth.

you just need to hang in there a little longer I know its hard but trust me its worth it. you will start to heal. and ill always pop in and check to see if youve left a post. :)

as for loving hard, men like us few exist and what those girls dont know is they are losing marriage material.

I'm in the same situation as you, you can check my earlier posts and maybe find some answers. You should know your self worth and she doesn't determine it. The consequences of her actions will most likely come back to her and right now you should focus on yourself and stop opening the wounds or check her profiles.
