My sister just made it known to me that there were things that I did that were wrong and I didn’t even argue with it. I think that I genuinely deserve to hear the hard truth. I made mistakes to get attention, I was prideful at times and I didn’t listen when I needed to so I did end up pushing her away. I’ve been so focused on how she did me that I didn’t actually do a thorough examination of myself. Who am I to be upset that she left me when I made mistakes and that ended relationships are a part of life? I have to take accountability and accept the fact that I couldn’t see mistakes until now. I can’t continue to be angry at her mistakes and even the fact she moved on. It’s alright now and I will work on myself as a person.

it takes a lot to own your mistakes without making excuses.
after my breakup i spent months pointing at everything my ex did, then i finally admitted i had my own part in it too. that was HARD, but it's when i actually started changing.
do you feel this realization brought you some peace, or is it making you carry more guilt right now?
