Why i blocked him on facebook and realized my addiction to social media

I have been contacting mutual friends to get information. It ranged from "I don't know what's going on" to no answer at all. I kept up the hope like this. I de-blocked and blocked him again so many times on Facebook. He changed his profile picture from us to himself. And it left me quite broken. We used to be able to work through things. And I told him, how afraid I am off being alone.
And now I am alone, no job, no apartment, planning a future I am so afraid of.
I never expected to be so dependent on a man. I was always a strong woman. Now I feel pathetic..

I know that if I would call he wouldn't pick up. He wouldn't reach out.

I think the engagement ring will arrive soon. But he won't respond. which hurts even more.

i wasn't actually looking for answers, i was looking for hope. once i saw that, i stopped chasing every little update because it only reopened the wound.

Don't feel pathetic I think we all have done desperate things like this its our mind reacting to the break up we had this one person in our life consistently day after day for soo long who we depended on and loved and talked to with the good the bad the ugly its a normal reaction. When we first broke up in March I was ok mostly because we had done this before we break up get back together so I thought this time is no different days turned into weeks then months I would drive by his house at all times of the day then I made the mistake of replying to his late night text one thing lead to another and deep down I kinda knew he was dating or at least talking to someone but I ignored it after that night of us being together we were communicating until out of nowhere radio silence I went by his house and sure enough I saw another car at his house thats when I knew it was over for sure and my body freaked out I was banging on the door late at night calling texting screaming like a mad woman making an utter fool of myself it was way out of character for me but at the moment I didnt care because I was in shock about loosing the person I was addicted to I wasnt in control of my emotions. give yourself some grace sometimes we act out of character and its out of our hands cry scream be crazy for the moment but after the moment is over pick yourself up straighten your crown and hold your head up high you got this I know you do.

Thank you, this has helped. Knowing Im not the only person behaving like I don't know myself. I really don't. I used to be fun, and have something witty to say. I loved him. Man I love him. I still hope he changes his mind. But how realistic is that. Wanting kids is a huge thing. But he was my first true love.
Man I really hope he realizes what he has lost...

I really hope this passes soon. I feel like a looser.

@Lonelythirties its hard to think someone could change their mind over night our hearts just need to catch up believe me I still love mine too my body is in survival mode thinking I'd do anything to be back with him but I deserve better someone who wants to be with me as much as I want to be with them

i kept checking every tiny thing too, mutual friends, profile changes, anything that made me feel close for one more minute. seeing them erase us while i was still hoping absolutely crushed me.

Since we haven't spoken in 6 weeks and he ended it because he doesn't want kids.. I think the rational answer is no its not going to work out. But my emotional side still hopes

my heart sank when i read about the ring. 😞 was there one moment that made you realize this really was over, or does part of you still feel like he'll come back if you wait?
