my ex and I work together. We were both teachers and school starts in 2 weeks. I went yesterday to help a colleague move some stuff and I found out that my ex may have been cheating on me emotionally while we were together with my mentor teacher. she’s moving in right next door to my ex after getting a divorce. the puzzle pieces were adding up. I honestly don’t know if that school would be good for my mental health. but I love the job and the admin. I want to keep the door open for one day coming back but am I crazy for looking elsewhere at least for this year?

i’ve been there with trying to separate the job i loved from the person who broke my heart.
have you talked to your ex about what you found out, or are you carrying all these puzzle pieces by yourself right now?
I can’t reach out. it’s too painful and I asked if there was someone else earlier in the breakup and they said no. But now I don’t believe them
umm finding out things about my ex after we worked in the same place, and every hallway and little reminder felt like a punch. you’re not crazy for feeling like your safe place suddenly doesn’t feel safe anymore.
woow that is tough 😳 I think if you truly need to get away from them to protect your mental health go for it. if you truly dont want to leave is there an option to maybe be in a separate part of the building away from them?
me and my ex met cause we’re in the same college class. we got along pretty quick, 7 months later we hurt eachother, obviously I’m the one to blame. in 3 months college starts again and I’m stressed asfuck cause I have no idea if she will talk to me. she blocked me everywhere, we have no contact at all, no support from her parents (they told me to give up and look for someone else) and she’s scared of me, for trying to say sorry. I even wrote letters to her and still she says she doesn’t want to comeback, she even called the cops on me. Ik she made it clear but still I’m scared of how things will look or if she’s even gonna show up, if she’s gonna have someone new. I’m lost. I need her. I’m sorry
