about 3 months into no contact 6 months since the breakup from the most toxic relationship i’ve ever been in.
he made me question everything about myself. i started feeling like i was never cool enough never good enough never the person someone would choose. lately i’ve been feeling disconnected and like i don’t fully belong anywhere.
has anyone else experienced this kind of lasting self-doubt after a toxic relationship? how do you start believing in yourself again and rebuild the confidence you used to have?
i’m talking to someone new now and the fear that they’ll get bored of me or realize i’m not enough feels so intense. i hate that this fear still has so much power over how i see myself. i just want to feel like i’m enough again

living the same thing
does this new person actually make you feel like you're not enough, or is it that old fear showing up before they've even given you a reason
its really important to push yourself to do new things and activities to grow. it helps you feel better about yourself when you connect with communities of people with similar interests. investing time in yourself my learning or taking a class always boosts your confidence
i left a relationship where i questioned EVERYTHING about myself, and even months later i kept waiting for new people to find the flaws my ex convinced me were there. that voice got quieter with time, but it definitely didn't disappear overnight.
You are great. Tell yourself that everyday, a few times a day. Your worth comes how you view yourself, not how someone else views you or what they do to you.
