How do I stop myself from texting him when I know it’s the wrong thing to do? I wanna make excuses for his behavior and get back in contact. What if it is not his fault and he was just in a difficult situation, that’s why he didn’t have the energy to continue? Maybe he didn’t wanna hurt me? Maybe by texting him we can try again?

was waiting until the urge passed before doing anything. every time i wanted to text, i asked myself if i was reaching for HIM or just relief from missing him, and the answer surprised me most days.
Your situation sounds very similar to mine. Don’t make excuses for his behavior. As difficult as it is time is your friend right now. Let him miss you. If he wants to reach out he will. And when he does, because they always do, make sure he he ready to do right by you!
if he replied today exactly the way he left, would you actually feel at peace, or would it pull you right back into the same cycle?
Maybe I would accept that he doesn’t wanna try again idk. Like maybe it would be the last straw for me to move on
find other outlets to distract yourself
i could come up with a hundred reasons to excuse his behavior because accepting that it was over hurt more than making excuses. my heart kept trying to rewrite the story
block and delete his number. If he wanted to try again and he truly believed it would be better, he WOULD reach out. No message is a message xx
I have been in this exact same headspace and I have just come to the conclusion that if he wanted to do the work and try and make this work again, its probably going to take longer than its been, and me texting him one more isn't going to be the catalyst for change. Your brain will play tricks on you to get one more fix..
I feel like me texting him won’t change anything but maybe he also wants to start talking again and is afraid of contacting me
