100 days no contact: my journey to healing

Author

I made it to 100 days no contact. If I did it so can you. I have started to wake up happier. The urge to reach out becomes more manageable. I just finished the book called win your breakup. I've just started reading single on purpose. reading or listening to audiobooks is really helpful when you feel lonely or when you can't find anyone to talk to or need to make sense of your breakup. focusing on personal growth has been helpful. I am also working on my communication skills. I listened to the audiobook fight right and took notes so I will have better communication skills in my next relationship. It is easy to point out your ex's flaws but it is challenging to take accountability for your own and work on them. I still have days when I really miss him but I remind myself of why our relationship so I can keep moving forward.

i love the part about taking accountability for your own flaws too. i did a lot of that after my breakup, and honestly it helped me feel like i was becoming someone i actually wanted to be.

when you have one of those days where you really miss him, what do you do that helps you get through the urge to reach out?

I distract myself anyway that I can. I read in The book break up on purpose that the urge to reach out will pass in 20 minutes and I have found that to be true. sometimes my biggest accomplishment for the day is just not contacting him.
