when you sent him that note, were you hoping he’d say he still loved you, or did you just want him to remember what you two had?
that “donno how to respond” would’ve wrecked me too. i’ve learned to put my phone down when i get that urge to reach out again, because replying while hurt usually made me feel even worse.
i sent my ex an old message once hoping for a tiny bit of warmth, and getting that cold response made me regret reaching out so damn much.
