I definitely don't take my own advice, and most of my close friends give good advice and don't take it themselves either :/
honestly, i started saving the advice that really hit home and rereading it when i was struggling. sometimes i needed to hear my own words back at me.
you give someone else advice that you know you need too, what usually stops you from taking it yourself?
im healed, I try my best to share the knowledge I have learnt. Im just waiting patiently for someone to take his place, so this is a good distraction until that happens.
I feel some people here are not ready to do the healing work because they are looking for people to validate their situation and not ready to listen to legit advice and thats ok. Its everyone's individual journey and we all have to make the mistakes, several times if needed to learn from them
i’ve caught myself doing this so many times. i could give my friends the exact advice they needed, then completely ignore it when my own heart was hurting.
