As a 17 year old lesbian, I sometimes feel like finding a woman who also likes women is so difficult. After my 1st proper relationship ended, it’s made me wonder whether I’ll ever find another girl who genuinely loves me and wants the same things I do. I know I’m still very young, but sometimes it feels like the dating pool is so small, and I worry I’ll never find my person purely because I don’t think there are many lesbians in the world. I know it sounds stupid, but it’s genuinely how I feel.

you picture your future relationship, what are the things you hope that girl will want with you?
i would hope she would want a future together, feeling loved/chosen, good communication, being best friends as well as girlfriends, trust and loyalty, making memories, feeling safe and understood and it being serious/lasting long
this made me ache a little because i used to think every person i loved was my ONE shot at being loved back. give yourself time, girl. there are so many chapters you haven't even reached yet.
being 17 and thinking my first breakup meant i'd already lost my chance at finding someone who really got me. that feeling of “what if that was it?” hurt like hell, especially when the dating pool feels so small.

i feel okay with online relationships but im not too much of a fan of them because i dont have the physical connection that I love, i wouldn't mind it if I knew I was able to meet up with them though
