Can you really forgive a cheater?

i forgave cheating once, and honestly i thought forgiveness meant i had to trust them exactly like before. it took me a long time to realize i could forgive someone and still admit the betrayal changed what i was willing to accept.

I forgave after being cheated on twice
it hurt yes but the love was still there despite that

I have and honestly, it doesn’t get better

If someone cheats, I will forgive them but it also means they will never be apart of my life again
