I message a few of my online friends just stating "I hope I don't see (ex-gf's online name) at college" then the next day I do see her like for example the day before the 1st day of college (for everyone) I said "I hope I don't see her" then I saw her twice which was when she ran away then I said it again last week on Monday and I saw her when I was walking to my English class with one of my classmates but luckily this time she didnt run off or looked afraid I kinda just gave her a knowing look and that was it.

iāve had that happen where iād literally say āplease donāt let me see them todayā and then somehow there they were. the little knowing look instead of a whole awkward scene sounds like a lot more calm than those first times.
i used to make myself miserable trying to predict whether iād run into my ex.
