How to regain self-respect after a breakup

after my breakup i realized how much of my self respect i’d bent just to keep someone around. getting it back felt weird at first, like i didn’t even know what i deserved anymore.

I just put this in my recent post, but what is really helping me right now is the quote "If a someone makes it harder for you to behave like a person you can respect they are too costly to have in your life."
