It is officially almost an entire month since the last time we ever communicated and 2 months since she left and got with another guy. I still think about her hence why I check this app every once in a while and do updates. I last checked her social media about 2 weeks ago and realized that I don’t want to continue the cycle of pain regardless of how much I’m curious. As far as I know, she’s living a happy life and I’ve been working on myself to reach that goal. I no longer wait to her voice or to feel her presence. I stopped tying my self worth to her validation. I still feel for her but honestly I think connecting with her again will just be a blow to my hard work so I won’t be doing that any time soon. I’ve been making money, learning virtues and spending more time out of my house with my grandad. It still feels lonely with me having a tight circle and me not communicating with my friends recently but I know things will get better. I’m working on my health and even going to a doctors appointment soon. I’ve got new clothes, new shoes and been working on getting new accessories to go with them. I plan on deleting her number and her family’s. I think if I have to move on I want to atleast do it to the extreme so I never feel that same way about her ever again. She was my first love, my best friend and we also loss our purity to each other (iykyk). She taught me what love should and shouldn’t be. As a young man I have to admit that I am hotheaded and have a strong sense of pride. But as Vegeta did, I have to admit it and change (DBZ reference). Long story short, I have good and bad days. I’m doing the work for myself alone to heal. I will be a better man for the next woman who comes into my life. And I will overcome my sense of pride and become respectful. I love her but I’ve accepted that people drift apart and that we weren’t meant to be so I will respect her relationship no matter how much it effects me. To love is to let go.

i actually think you're doing more right than you're giving yourself credit for.
love hearing about the investment in yourself. I am trying to do the same. I have made some appointments I have been putting off for ages.
you sound calmer than someone who's trying to force themselves to move on. i'm curious, when you say you still love her, do you miss who she is now, or the life you thought you'd have together?
my healing looked a lot like yours for a while, good days mixed with random waves that hit out of nowhere. the day i stopped checking their socials felt small, but it ended up changing EVERYTHING for me
you should be proud of yourself youve come a long way from when you first came here. proud of you keep up the great work and you will heal fully eventually.
